I am an experienced IT professional with 17+ years of experience working the Mainframe. I specialise in mainframe modernization, DevOps and Automation projects, making legacy applications cloud ready. Examining all components of a system to develop a roadmap for migrating applications to cloud/API enablement. (zDevSecOps, zCEE, CICS webservice, IMS). I concentrate all my thoughts upon the work in hand, As the Sun rays do not burn until brought to a focus.
Current Role Summary
I am an experienced IT professional with 17+ years of experience in the Mainframe. I specialise in mainframe modernization, DevOps and automation projects, making legacy applications cloud ready. Examining all components of a system to develop a roadmap for migrating applications to cloud/API enablement. (zCEE, CICS webservice, IMS).
- I work for Tech Mahindra’s Mainframe Practice, where I manage a team, propose modernization ideas, evaluate technical solutions, communicate with clients, and mentor people.
- Provide leadership across projects and client bases (various industries).
- Prepare & present technical presentations – pre-sales.
- Knowledge of automation scripting languages such as SAS, REXX, SORT (advanced), Python, USS, and Splunk (Automation Alert & Monitoring).
- Evaluated DevOps and CI/CD processes for mainframe software development.
- Managed high profile projects such as COBOL v6+ Upgrade, z/OS Connect, ADDI, Modern Mainframe IDE, DevOPs, CI/CD, APIs, Microservices, and identifying mainframe workloads that we can migrate to ZIIP or cloud.
- Tech SME, assisting teams with mainframe legacy application knowledge transition – Tech Stack - Assembler, COBOL, PL/1, CICS, IMS DB/DC, JCL.
- Offered technical direction and support for multiple client's offshore team of 20 personnel.
